It's been awhile
Submitted by Curious_Duke on Mon, 2006-11-20 21:57.Wow I haven't updated this in a while!! Since I last updated I've had the baby and I've basically not scrapbooked at all. Hopefully that will change soon. I'm basically late writing one of my thank you notes because I have this great idea for a card, but I haven't found time to actually do it. When I actually buckle down and do it I will post a picture. Although, I've found time to write this and post on Scraplove. hmmm...maybe my priorities are a little messed up here. And I keep forgetting I'm taking three hours of my masters classes. I'm going to fail this semester. Oh well.
Singapore Story
Submitted by JavaUmie on Mon, 2006-10-16 10:53.<>well, it's still hazy in Singapore. the haze is pretty bad. we've been advised to stay indoors. the air quailty is poor but then again...have to get out and get errands done. haze is actually coming from Indonesia. the winds have blown it over our way. anyway, apart from that, life still goes on and i'm still out and about and looking for scrapbooking stuff :D
hope everyone else is having a nice day.
My second blog. (Creative title, huh?)
Submitted by Bethany on Sat, 2006-10-14 06:22.So I really don't have anything exciting to talk about, but I thought I'd update anyway. My dh's family is in town and we are having them over tonight to see the new house. I was totally excited about it until we went to a home show yesterday with them and we saw a bunch of million dollar houses........... Um, now our house will look miniature to them! Did I mention our house is also not professionally decorated? Oh well.
Like I said, nothing new to blog about.
No clue what to title this
Submitted by Curious_Duke on Tue, 2006-10-10 23:20.I had a lazy day today where I did practically nothing, I even barely scrapped the page I was working on. I took two naps and finished my book. I decided what I'm going to order the next time I put in an SU! order. That's about it. Now I need to read the chapter I'm supposed to be on for class, figure out the paper that's due on monday, and run a few errands tomorrow. But it was all worth it. I was able to snuggle on the couch and watch some of my favorite shows with my dachshunds. Man I hope they get along with Mitchell. I'd really hate to give up either of them.
My first blog...
Submitted by Bethany on Tue, 2006-10-10 07:20.Wow! I can't beleive I actually did it- I am posting in my first blog!
I actually have some terrific news, which is why I'm blogging in the first place! I got my first post-surgical pap smear results and they are NORMAL. Did you hear that? I said NORMAL! I am so excited I could just.......... uh........... banana dance! I would be a totally happy camper if I could get that ultrasound NOW to see how much cervix I have left. I really need to prepare myself for the worst when I get pregnant in the not terribly distant future, and if I have little to no cervix left, I gotta know NOW. Unfortunately my doc won't do it (and I'm sure insurance has something to do with it) until I am actively trying, which I am NOT..... yet. ;)
DOH!
Submitted by Sharlene on Mon, 2006-10-09 23:18.ok well really i had 2 doh moments.
1. I forgot what name i used here. i think i have too many things to keep up with but i want to use this to post all my creations and my stupidities- see next line.
2. When using scrap paper from the printer, i bring home tons from work since there is no recycling there(dont ask), make sure you have the ink side down. I was inking my edges with white ink. yep, i rubbed my BRAND NEW white Versamagic white ink pad on the printed side of my scrap paper. now my pretty white pad is grey. grrrr.
do we have the grrr face here?
Hazy Saturday
Submitted by JavaUmie on Fri, 2006-10-06 21:37.Saturday morning here in Singapore. we've got a case of bad haze...very bad :( attached a photo, hope it can be viewed. but life goes on and so does scrapping and shopping ;)
And I thought life was actually getting better until today...
Submitted by 2b1gMOM on Thu, 2006-10-05 22:17.So, my mom calls me about 4pm today. I thought she was calling to dicuss our plans for tomorrows out of town shopping trip, but I was wrong. She was calling to tell me my childhood best friend had passed away this morning at our local hospital. I was floored...kinda. It took awhile for it to set in. I had to listen to James Blunt for awhile afterward, too. She was dignosised with cervical cancer 2 years ago. Everyone that it was gone. It came back about a month ago and took her very quickly. My mom thinks she gave up. Maybe....maybe not. Who really knows, right? I was actually angry at first only because this family is soooo backward(Old Fashion Hispanics).
MY 1,000TH Post!!!
Submitted by 2b1gMOM on Wed, 2006-10-04 00:49.I am a "YOU GO GIRL" scrapper at SCRAPLOVE. I can't believe I finally have 1,000 post. It seems like it was just yesterday that I found SCRAPLOVE. I am just so glad I am here. It seems like I am renewing my faith a little everyday in my scrapbooking. And I think it is all because of SCRAPLOVE and all the wonderful ladies and Steve.
Slay It With Flowers
Submitted by Curious_Duke on Mon, 2006-10-02 22:57.I'm reading one of my favorite mystery series right now. It's called Slay It With Flowers and it is about a floral shop owner named Abby Knight. I'm a sucker for books with the main character named Abby, but this series is very good. I highly recommend it. The first book is called Mum's The Word. They are cozy mysteries which means there isn't a lot of blood and guts. Just a fun story line involving murder.
